This is @joelkilmer. I randomly met Joel in Seattle a month or so ago and told him that if he ever needed a place to stay in Portland he could crash at my place. He took me up on my offer last night and I loved getting to hang out and talk about the bigger things in life. Joel has a great story with so many incredible adventures. At one point last night he reminded me that anything worth doing is going to take some sacrifice. Things aren't always going to be easy, and sometimes life will suck a little, but the end result is always so worth it. I've heard these words before, but something about the way that Joel said it, and the way he backs it up with his life, hit me. We also talked about the difference between goals and dreams and their impact on the big picture of our lives. Joel is such a rad dude.
