c'est Arlette, qui vient de belgique. i saw her sketching on mont-royal as I finished my run. when I approached and asked if I could take her photo, her eyes lit up and she exclaimed, "vous êtes magnifique! bien sûr!". we proceeded to have a 20 min conversation tout en français, as she spoke no English. she asked me about my life, photography, work and my love, with which she sadly replied, "moi, j'ai perdu le mien". we then exchanged addresses as she has no computer and wanted a copy of the photo. i told her she was my favorite portrait subject in awhile, then ran home, feeling a little bit lighter. #portraitproject2012_jaclyn_t day 279 #portrait #woman #artist #montreal #fall #closeup @jaclyn_t(jaclyn turner)
