Ode to Lady Lambert and her Squire.
Pearls, poise and homemade cherry pie, she loved her squire in spring even when the winter passed her by. A ballad, a smile and letters kept with the scent of fresh jasmine, would there be a moment of amore or will there be tears of rouge-noir sprinkled with poison... This image was taken at a 'Fifties Fair' here in Sydney, which is an absolute celebration of Vintage Aesthetic (circa 1950s) at the salubrious Rose Seidler House. The event showcases; Architecture, Cars, Music, Hairstyles and 50's couture in all it's suburban glory. I rediscovered an image I took of this delightful muse in this delicious ensemble and was completely enamored by the rubyliscious tote she was holding... (Be still my beating heart for a lady must own a red tote... Indeed! Cue in applause for the high priestesses @annacox & @ikebana_jen for the red tribute!) The editing of the final image was to focus on the detail of the outfit and provide a 'voice' for the couture. Original image was taken on 'pro-camera', then we tiptoed over to 'snapseed' for a bit of rock n roll and cropped into a square format. Then we jitterbugged over to centre focus to adjust the brightness. A slow stroll to the local milk bar- aka 'filterstorm' to freshen up and remove any unnecessary lint surrounding the subject. Image now saved. We decide to go dancing again and to do this we use double exposure to echo the image for some shoo woop and shimmy shimmy. Finally the piece is ready for her monologue, her moment to shine...and we listen, listen tentatively to her tale...
