AMPt Street photo by Felix Lim @fixelzero Description: This shot was taken in downtown San Francisco. I walk past this location so many times before but somehow I never get any image that I really like, I came back one day on a late afternoon and noticed these cool looking diagonal shadows casted on the building, so I decided to stay and try to get a shot out of it. On my Instagram feed, I like to isolate a single person or “walker” as the subject of my street photography. It was quite a challenge for me to get the shot for the fact that it was a really busy day, after waiting for quite a while, I finally got the shot that I wanted. Process: I shot this image with Pro Camera app with the exposure metered on the building, then brought to Camera+ for square cropping, Noir for black and white conversion and tuned the image with contrast +15 in Snapseed to separate the highlights and shadows even more. These are my most used apps for my post processing work, and I’ve been recently using VSCO cam as well for the fade adjustment. Bio: I was born in Indonesia, I moved to the San Francisco about 5 years ago for my study. I recently graduated and looking out for new opportunities here in the states. My passion for mobile photography was born when I was trying out image editing apps on my iPhone a few years ago and I’ve been taking more and more pictures with my iPhone since then. I enjoy mobile photography because I think it’s challenging and fun at the same time, and the idea of making great pictures with a mobile phone camera made me realize it’s not about the tools after all, but it’s about the vision and creativity of the artist. @ampt(AMPtCommunity)
