AMPt Selections photo by Beth Gibbeson @bethblues
Description:
I have used two photos here. One of my daughter, and the other of the woods close to where I live. These photos have been taken in winter, so the outcome is quite dark and moody.
Process:
Both images were taken using native camera on iPhone 4.
Step1- In artstudio app I opened up the image of the girl and erased her background out. I then imported my woods image as the new backdrop.
Saved.
Step2- ln Snapseed I opened up the above saved image and applied the grunge filter 807, brightness -5, contrast 30, saturation 76. I then tuned image slightly- ambiance -10 and saturation at -20. Saved.
Step 3- Opened up this saved image in filterstorm app, and applied some gradient behind and above the image to help blend in the edging. Saved.
Step 4- ln PS Express l opened up the image saved from step 3 and applied the noise reduction at 50%, sharpen 10%. Saved. Re-open this saved image and apply soft focus at 240. Saved.
Step 5- Using the lmageblender app, I blended the above two saved images at 50%. saved.
Step 6- Back to Snapseed app, where I applied some fog at 0 blur, 5 inner brightness, 7 outer brightness. And also did a final tuning of the image. Saved.
Step7- In the Picfx app, I added the grit filter at 30%. Saved.
Step 8- Finally added the bright sun adjusting the brightness to low in the lenslight app. Saved. Image complete.
BIO:
I am a painter/ illustrator living in a small Australian town called Castlemaine. My discovery of mobile photography really only came about once I purchased my first iPhone, and with all the user friendly apps I quickly became hooked. I love Instagram as it allows me to create and share photos with so many creative, inspiring and talented people around the world. I really like to mix my editing up a bit and not feel as though every photo has to be in the same style. I guess this is why I love it so much, as I am able to express myself in any way I like.
