I was not born in the circus. I saw my first set of silks at age 21, in May of 2010 to be exact. This month marks my 7th year clean from a substance that nearly took my life. My 7th year-long victory against something that seemed at one point to be so much bigger than me. I got so lucky on multiple occasions, I am truly blessed to be breathing right now, let alone privileged enough to be able to climb and dance in the air.
