The 12 Apostles are a collection of rugged limestone rock stacks that rise up from the Southern Ocean on Victoria, Australia’s coastline. Over millions of years, they have transformed from caves into arches that collapsed to become nine rock stacks. Today, there are only eight stacks remaining due to further erosion from waves that continue to threaten their existence.
