Detail view from the Moon - A fresh crater splashes brighter material across the edge of a fracture in Komarov crater in this image from the Narrow Angle Camera (NAC) on board NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) spacecraft. This small crater, about 475 meters or yards across, is younger than the fracture because the bright rays of the crater are not visibly deformed by the edges of the fracture. Cratering events like this help to slowly erode and fill in fractures and older craters on the moon. Credit: NASA/GSFC/Arizona State University #nasa #moon #space #crater #nasagoddard
